Working with BCPS to be a Green School

BCPS Office of Food & Nutrition

Our cafeteria pilots a recyclable tray program for BCPS.  As opposed to the styrofoam trays, our students use trays made out of cardboard that can be recycled.  Also, the Office of Food & Nutrition supports our Green School program by sending us their used ink cartridges, which we then send to a company for recycling.

BCPS Physical Facilities

Wellwood continues to partner with the Office of Physical Facilities in order to maintain our gardens and no mow zone.  They are also a crucial partner in determining outdoor installations such as our school yard signage, outdoor classroom, and birdhouses.
