School Wide Behavior Changes
The Wellwood community continues to embrace making changes to our green school. Below our some school wide changes we have initiated over the past few years.

Motion Activated Lights
In the summer of 2016, all of Wellwood International's lights were replaced with motion sensors. These lights automatically turn on and off to help conserve energy.

Recycling Captains
In the fall of 2017, Wellwood International created Recycling Captains to help in the cafeteria. Each classroom has one recycling captain who helps to remind students to recycle and what they can recycle.

Green Team Club
In 2016, Wellwood started an after school club for 3-5 graders. Students meet monthly to discuss different ways to promote recycling, improve Wellwood as a green school, and more.

Classroom Recycling Signs
Each classroom has a recycling can that includes a sign showing the different items that can be recycled within the classroom.
